Born and based in Athens(Gr) in 1995, Dimitris Martinis is the man behind the ‘High Q’ project.

Started his project in 2019,where he had his first releases with Infinity-Tunes(Gr) label the same year.

In the next years he released his music with other labels also like Ovnimoon Records(Ch), Goa Records & Sting Records.

Punchy Kicks, Groovy & Straight Basslines, Soundscape Sounds, Long Arpeggiator Riffs and Unique, Colorful Elements are the things that you’ll discover as you dive deeper into his musical phasma.

Interview

  1. What is your inspiration? What music do you listen to/are you influenced by? My favorite kinds of music are post punk,nu metal and psytrance.
  2. Some of my biggest inspirations are A Day to Remember, Slipknot, Mythospheric and Liquid Soul.What are you bringing to Bohemia? Have you ever been here? No i’ve never been to Bohemia before.
  3. How do you see the Czech psychedelic/psytrance scene compared to others? They seem like people that really enjoy electronic music.
  4. Your favourite festival? What was your best gig ever? I’ve never been to a big festival before especially outside of Greece.
  5. My biggest gig till now was at Bee Trip Festival that i performed last year here in Greece.How did you come to your artist/stage name? I just saw it in my sleep one day,and High Q means your Iq when you’re high.
  6. Your favourite synthesizers? Can you briefly describe how you produce your music? Do you master it by yourself? My favorite synth is microKorg, i like to use my sounds and every time create new things so i can end with a nice result, no my music is mastered mostly by Micky Noise.
  7. What is your relationship to the fire? I really enjoy fire.
  8. What do you consider to be the greatest success of yours? I would like to go aroumd the world and play my music,this will be my success if i make it.
  9. What did the psytrance/psychedelic culture give you? Psychedelic culture and music gave me the freedom of my mind and who i am today.
  10. What do you do to have some fun/how do you relax? I like hang out with friends, play some videogames or going for roadtrips.
  11. I really like travelling as well.How do you imagine a perfect Saturday morning at the festival? Waking up in a sunny day,under good music sounds and with a nice blend of coffee.
  12. Beer or wine? Only beer,hehe.
