From a serial killers basement, somewhere in London UK, Hefty has pioneered the darkside since 2010. Undoubtedly the preeminent master of darker sounds, skillfully preparing you for the impending apocalypse with his unique style. His music is heavily influenced by a wide range of subjects including geo politics, psychology, world affairs, conspiracy theories, the occult and modern history.
How did you come to your artist/stage name?
People described my music as “hefty”, “fat” or “heavy” so the name seemed ideal.
What is your inspiration?
All my music is inspired by dark world events past and present and forbidden knowledge. I
turn negative events into music, something positive born out of negativity.
What are you bringing to Bohemia?
I’m bringing the darkness of course!
What do you consider to be the greatest success of yours? / What did the
psytrance/psychedelic culture give you?
These 2 questions for me are linked. I would say my greatest success is my transition into
the psychedelic scene from the techno scene. What the psychedelic scene has given me is
a lovely warm welcome! I feel honoured to be part of both worlds now and thankful that I
get to appreciate both!
What do you do to have some fun/how do you relax?
My “other” life is im a gardener/garden designer. So any time not spent on music is spent
with plants! Its my equal passion in life with music.
